The course is a Par 36 and very well designed with an interesting layout, each hole different and offering something unique to the player. Designed by Roderick Segar , the course maximizes your enjoyment each time you play a round here, it’s unique features and views will surely surprise you on your first visit. Beautifully manicured greens and elegantly styled lakes ensure a memorable golfing experience and one you will you’ll want to repeat time and time again.
Hole one is short par 3, be aware of the pin position as the lake will come into play. Don’t over hit the tee short as there is a sharp drop off area at the back of the green.
The signature hole of the course must surely be the impressive Par 5 – 4th. A downhill dog leg right, the fairway sweeps majestically down onto one of the most picturesque green setting on the coast. Get your tee shot right and your ball will roll way down the fairway and give you the possibilt7y of reaching the green in two. The large green is guarded by bunkers on the left and right with the lake as a stunning back drop. The course is walkable although a buggy is recommended if you plan to play 18 holes.
El Higueral offers great value golf and is a pleasure to play. A further nine holes are on the drawing boards and eagerly awaited by local golfers . At the moment there is only a temporary pro shop and caddies masters office with a small bar by the side of the first hole.
